One of the best bakeries in all of Los Angeles, Sweet and Saucy Bake Shop, have unveiled some of their very latest wedding cake creations. I am in awe of them and had to share the sweetness. Who knew a mustard yellow cake could be so beautiful? The golden goodies, below, are actually girl scout cookies coated in edible gold paint.

Weddings in Ibiza!!!!!

When deciding to get married in Ibiza, one of the first things people want to know is “How do we do it?” There are basically three ways for non residents to get married here, with one of these options being a fully legal marriage recognised here in Ibiza, and the other two taking the form of a blessing which follows a civil ceremony in your home country. The latter two options are in no way less special, and are treated by the couple as their wedding day, the one they celebrate and the day they will continue to remember for years to come.

a. The first option if one of you is Catholic (you do not both have to be Catholic) is to marry through the Catholic Church here. Your first step is to talk to your local Priest and ask him to make contact with the Priest here- it is advisable to make direct contact yourselves as well, so please contact us for the details to do this. Your local Priest will also be able to guide you through the application process, which can be quite lengthy and involves plenty of paperwork (due to it being a legally recognised union) It also includes a stipulation that you must both attend a “Preparation for Marriage” course. For those couples who choose a Catholic ceremony, the hard work is well worth the effort so please do not let the organisation required to marry in this way put you off! The Church are very insistent on direct contact between themselves and the couple, and so we are unfortunately unable to assist you in organising the actual service itself. We can however assist in arranging all other aspects of your Church Wedding such as the flowers, music and transport etc. It is crucial that you get a date before the majority of the wedding planning takes place. We can prepare a proposal if you have a date pencilled in with the Church but we will not be able to start booking things until you have a confirmed date.

b. The second option if you are not Catholic or do not wish to have a Catholic ceremony is to have a blessing in Church through the English speaking Anglican Church here. They offer “The Sacrament of Marriage” which is regarded as the full marriage ceremony (You make your vows and say “I do” as per a traditional ceremony). A marriage certificate is issued and your marriage will be registered in the Chaplaincy register of Holy Matrimony (this is not a legal certificate and references the civil ceremony in your home country). As with the Catholic Church there must be direct contact between yourselves and the Church with regard to the Ceremony itself, so please let us know if this option interests you and we can let you have the relevant contact details. As previously indicated, our services are available for all other aspects surrounding the ceremony, and again a date must be secured before we can go ahead and start making bookings.

c. The third option if you do not wish to marry in Church is to have a spiritual ceremony, which again must follow a civil ceremony in your home country (if time is a factor then this can be done afterwards, but this must take place to legalise your marriage). The ceremony can be conducted at a variety of locations on the island, from a cliff top overlooking the ocean to the grounds of a private villa, at the poolside of a beautiful boutique hotel or on the beach- the location is limited only by your imagination. There is a choice of officiates for this service, full details of which are available as part of the proposal process. Please contact us directly if you are interested in this option and we would be delighted to organise a meeting with the officiates we work with, as well as answer any further questions that you may have.

If at least one of you is an Ibizan resident, you may legally marry in your local Town Hall in Ibiza (followed by a blessing in Church through the Anglican Chaplaincy, or a spiritual ceremony if you wish). You need to go to the Spanish Civil Register (Registro Civil) in Ibiza, located at Avenida Isidoro Macabich to make your application. If you are Catholic you can apply to the Church to have a Catholic ceremony, which as before is a fully legal union. Of course if we can assist with any other aspect surrounding your ceremony, please do let us know.
If you are interested in renewing your vows then both the spiritual ceremony, as well as the Sacrement of Marriage offered by the Anglican Church are open to you.

How to Select the Perfect Perfume for Your Wedding Day

It's your special day -

you look like a million dollars,

you feel like a million dollars,

you should smell like a million dollars!

You've spent months planning your special day. You've selected your flowers, your dress, your hairstyle, and your mate. But, did you remember your scent? Don't wear that same old perfume! Select a scent that captures the romance, excitement, and happiness of your special day. . . .

Make a list of all the perfumes you currently wear and write down how you feel wearing each scent. For example, if you wear Burberry, you might write down "classy, refined, sophisticated, confident". Set the list aside.

Next, make a new list of how you want to feel and look on your wedding day. For example, you might write "beautiful, romantic, confident".

Next, compare your lists. Do some of the perfumes you already wear make you feel similar to the way you want to feel on your wedding day? If so, make a shortlist of those perfumes. Now put that list in your pocket.

Grab a friend and head to the perfume counter at the nearest department store. Once at the store, hand your shortlist to one of the perfume experts and tell them you're seeking a perfume similar to the ones listed. Then, explain that you're seeking a new perfume, just for your wedding day. (This back story often results in great service! Trust me.)

Allow the perfume expert to guide you to no more than four options. Select your two favorites and put one scent on each wrist. For the third and fourth options, ask for scent cards. Place one scent card in your purse and give the other to your friend. Now go shopping. Spend the rest of the day letting the perfumes grow on you. Smell your wrists. Take a break. Smell the cards. Take a break. Ask your friend for his/her opinion.

Select your Wedding Day Perfume. At the end of the day, ask yourself if you're ready to select your signature perfume. If so, you'll know. By the end of the day, you'll know if you can handle 15 hours of the perfume on one of your wrists. You'll also know if the scent works with your body chemistry. If you don't like the perfumes you tried on your wrists, the next time you go shopping, start with the options you put on the scent cards. Chances are, one of those four will be your perfect and magical wedding day perfume.

Maro

O culoare de nunta populara care aduce cu sine un sentiment de caldura si confort. Se spune că maro, de asemenea, poate stimula apetitul si face mâncarea sa aiba gust mai bun. Timp de multe secole a fost gândit să reprezinte fertilitatea, verde fiind culoarea aleasă pentru multe mirese secolului 15.

Verde înseamnă, de asemenea, învăţare, armonie şi creştere si este considerată o culoare a siguranţei.

Ea mai simbolizează si bunăstarea şi siguranta materiala(bani) si contine energiile naturii si arata dorinta extinderii.

Albastru

Fiţi atenţi deoarece din cauza unor nuanţe mai inchise, de albastru poate provoca sentimente de tristete.

Pure nuanţe de albastru sunt culorile de inspiraţie, sinceritate si spiritualitate & este culoarea cea mai des aleasă de către persoane conservatoare. Albastru este o culoare calmanta si linistitoare, în timp ce un albastru închis este culoarea adevărului şi moderaţia. Se poarta bijuterii cu pietre pretioase albastrede safir sau topaz pentru un sentiment de calm.

Albastru turcoaz simbolizeaza tinerete si comunicare. Aceasta nuanta de albastru a fost utilizată în mod tradiţional pentru protecţie, sănătate, încredere şi putere.

Mov

Mov sau lila a fost adesea asociata cu regalitatea în lumea occidentală mai ales ca violet era o culoare greu si costisitoare pentru a o produce.

Chiar şi azi în lumea modernă de astăzi în cazul în care violet este la fel de uşor de obtinut ca orice alta culoare, invocă ca sentiment de eleganta si rafinament.

Purple este declarat a fi de culoare care ajuta in hotararea unei judecati bune si este profitabila pentru cei care caută împlinirea spirituală. De asemenea, este utilizat pentru a reprezenta mister si magie, precum şi pace a mintii.

Auriu

Simbol al bogăţiei şi prosperităţii şi de stare bună de sănătate. Cei care o au ca si favorita se spune că sunt optimisti. Aur este legat cu divinitatea si este asociat cu cele legate de zei la soare.

Alb

Culoarea de puritate si un sprijin de nadejde la mojoritatea nuntilor . Este culoarea care reda bunătate, integritate si finalizare. Alb carry din buchet este ca un simbol al iubirii loiale.

Negru

Posibil culoarea cea mai înţeleasă greşit. Adesea asociat cu formalitatea si eleganta, dar de asemenea si cu moartea. Nativii americani cred ca negru trebuie să fie o culoare pozitiva deoarece aceasta este culoarea solului, aducător de viaţă.

Multi sunt cei care vor spune că negru nu este o culoare, aceasta este doar lipsa de culoare si este adesea legat de necunoscut, frica, nevăzut şi experienţe rele.. Într-o lumină pozitivă negru este perceput ca fiind misterios odihnitor, şi dă un sentiment de potenţial şi posibilitate.

Gri

Considerat a fi culoarea dureri, gri este de fapt culoarea anului la nunti . Persoanele care sunt în favoarea culorii gri sunt considerate ca fiind înguste mintal sau singuratici.. Cu toate acestea un argint gri poate fi o culoare activa. Nativii americani au asociat-o cu prietenia si este vazut ca simbol de securitate, maturitate si fiabilitate. De asemenea, prezintă un simţ al responsabilităţii .

Gri poate fi văzută ca o culoare odihnitoare, deşi unii o vor asocia cu sentimente de goliciune şi lipsită de emoţie. Ea are un efect de racire atunci cand a facut echipa cu alte culori mai ales mai multe nuante vibrante.
